How do I delete a thermostat?

Pelican Technical support can assist with delete a thermostat from your Pelican Site.

Why can't I do this myself?

To make sure the device is fully removed from your system and any data, configurations, historical information is properly transferred, retained, or deleted we provide assistance on the deletion of devices.

Replacing a new thermostat with an old thermostat.

  1. Physically uninstall the old thermostat and replace it with the new thermostat.
  2. Email Pelican technical support, support@pelicanwireless.com) and provide:
    • the name of your Pelican site (web-app): (xxxxxx.officeclimatecontrol.net)
    • the old thermostat’s serial number: (XXX-XXXX)
    • the new thermostat’s serial number: (XXX-XXXX)
    • request “Please replace the old thermostat with the new thermostat.”

Deleting a thermostat I no longer need.

  1. Physically uninstall the old thermostat.
  2. Email Pelican technical support, support@pelicanwireless.com) and provide:
    • the name of your Pelican site (web-app): (xxxxxx.officeclimatecontrol.net)
    • the old thermostat’s serial number: (XXX-XXXX)
    • request “Please completely remove the old thermostat from my site.”

Can I make the thermostat disappear on my own?

Yes. If you place a thermostat into a group named: HIDDEN (in all caps), then it will not show up on the main page of your web-app.
