How do I share schedules between multiple rooms?

Creating a Shared Schedule

1. From the main page of your Pelican app, select the blue button labeled Schedule Dashboard.

2. To create a new shareable schedule, select Add New + under the section Manage Shared Schedules.

3. A pop-up will appear asking you to name the new schedule. Enter any name you would like and then select Save.

4. With a new schedule created, select how you would like the schedule to REPEAT each day or week.

5. Select the drop down below Repeat to pop up a selection list. This list will include:

6. In this example, we are going to select WEEKDAY/WEEKEND since the process of creating the actual schedules are the same between the different Repeat selections.

7. Under Settings select a day or days you would like to add scheduled set times too.

8. A set time represents a time when your thermostat will adjust to its scheduled settings. Create your first set time by selecting the + button next to New Set Time.

9. Set your new set time to when you want the first schedule changes to occur for your thermostats. Select the edit time button next to the time.

10. A Set Time pop up will appear. Move the slider next to H to adjust the hour and the slider next to M to adjust the minutes.

11. Optimum Start  is optional. When enabled it tell the thermostat to calculate for you when to start heating or cooling the room to bring it to your scheduled heat and cool set-points by the time you selected. This makes the schedule dynamic and more energy efficient for periods such as when work starts or your building opens. To enable Optimum Start set it to ON. 12. Press DONE to set the chosen time.

13. Set the System setting to what you want your thermostats to be set to at this scheduled time.

14. You can follow steps 9 to 14 to create additional Set Times until your schedule is set exactly how you want your thermostats/building to operate.

15. Once your schedule is set, press the back button in the upper left hand corner of your app. Either continue this process to schedule other Repeat periods, or press the back button again where you will be brought back to the Shared Schedule Dashboard.

16. Under Manage Shared Schedules you will see your new schedule in the list.


Adding a Shared Schedule to Thermostats

1. In the Schedule Dashboard scroll down to the section labeled Manage Thermostat Schedules.

2. Just like on the main page of your Pelican app, thermostats will be grouped. For convenience, you can select the arrow next to the group name to hide or expand the thermostats under that group.

3. With a group expanded, the list of thermostats will how a Schedule setting shown in the box to the right.

4. When a thermostat is set to a Custom, it is following its own schedule not associate with any other thermostat. You can edit its Custom schedule by pressing Edit or you can apply a Shared Schedule to the thermostat by selecting the drop down arrow.

5. In the schedule drop down list you can select any shared schedule you have created. Once a schedule is selected, that schedule will automatically be pushed and stored in that thermostat.

6. Follow this process for all thermostats you want to add a shared schedule too.


Editing a Shared Schedule

1. In the Schedule Dashboard under Manage Shared Schedules select Edit next to the schedule you want to adjust.

2. Select one of the “days” or “day ranges” to change the schedule for that period.

3. You can make changes existing set-times or add new set times by pressing the + NEW SET TIME button at the bottom of the page. If you need to delete a set-time, press the Delete button with a trash can icon in the bottom left hand corner of the set-time box.

4. Once you have made all your adjustments, press the Back button in the upper left hand corner of the page and the new settings for this schedule will be saved and automatically pushed to all the thermostats that follow this Shared Schedule.


Renaming a Shared Schedule

1. In the Schedule Dashboard under Manage Shared Schedules select Edit next to the schedule you want to rename.

2. Select the Menu icon in the upper right hand corner of the app.

3. Select Rename. . .

4. In the pop up, type the New Name you want for this shared schedule and then press Ok. Press Cancel if you do not want to rename the schedule.


Make a Copy of a Shared Schedule

1. In the Schedule Dashboard under Manage Shared Schedules select Edit next to the schedule you want to copy.

2. Select the Menu icon in the upper right hand corner of the app.

3. Select Copy. . .

4. In the pop up, type the Name you want for this shared schedule to be copied into and then press Ok. Press Cancel if you do not want to make a copy of the schedule.


Delete a Shared Schedule

1. In the Schedule Dashboard under Manage Shared Schedules select Edit next to the schedule you want to delete.

2. Select the Menu icon in the upper right hand corner of the app.

3. Select Delete. . .

4. A pop up will appear confirming you want to delete this Shared Schedule. Press Ok to delete or press Cancel to not delete the schedule.
