Does Pelican Track User Activity?

Pelican values user privacy and security. While Pelican does not track individual user activity, it does log essential system-related changes to ensure reliable performance and functionality. Our platform is designed to provide efficient and reliable control over your HVAC systems without collecting or storing unnecessary personal data.

Our Approach to User Privacy

Pelican’s system only retains essential operational data needed to ensure reliable functionality and system performance. This includes:

  • System diagnostics and device performance logs to enhance efficiency and troubleshoot potential issues.

  • Network connectivity status to ensure smooth communication between devices.

  • Security measures to protect against unauthorized access.

  • Logs whether changes were made via the web app (manually or through a schedule) or directly at the thermostat but does not log user-specific details.

However, Pelican does not track:

  • User logins or session details

  • Button presses or specific actions taken by users

  • Personal usage patterns or behavioral data
