What is Heat Range?

Heat Range sets how far up and down the thermostat allows its heat set point to be placed.

For example, a 56° F to 73° F range means the thermostat will allow its heat set point to be changed from 56° F at its lowest and 73° F at its highest.

What are the configuration ranges?

Lowest: 0°F

Highest: 120°F

What should I set my heat range too?

When setting the heat range it is important to limit the highest heat set point, while it is not that important to limit the lowest heat set point.

This is because the higher the heat set point, the warmer the occupant can adjust the thermostat and the longer the unit will run heating. While the low side allows the heat set point to be set lower, which means heating will not run until the room reaches the lower temperature (which delays when heat will run).

We do not have an opinion on how you set this, but we are always available to assist.

Can I schedule the thermostat to set its heat set point beyond the heat range?

Yes. Scheduled heat range restrictions are setup under the Default Thermostat Configuration. To make adjustments to this configuration, select Admin > Thermostat Configuration > Default Thermostat Configuration > Temperature Settings > Heat Range.
