What is an economizer low limited mixed air temperature?

When an economizer cycle is active, the economizer controller will modulate the outside damper to prevent the mixed air temperature (a mixture of the return and outside air) from dropping below a low limit temperature. This is used to prevent uncomfortably cold air from being blowing into the room or extremely cold outdoor air from damaging the HVAC equipment.
